Hello Dr. C and company!
wings would have been a great help in Cincinnati! Who knew there was such hills in the East... I will never again say that I miss my mountains from Vancouver! I felt myself truly outmatched by the hills. But still what a beautiful course and fun time with Cheryl at the flying pig.
3 things I learned on my journey:
1-It's not about the outcome, it's about the journey.
2-Next winter...I am getting a flu shot! My oatmeal might be somewhere at the 27K mark...:)
3-A pink medal around my neck can make all the pain go away! :)
Annie
Thanks for all your support and coaching along the way.

Hello everyone,
Thank you for your kind words and it is nice knowing you have the support behind you.
I DID IT!!!!
We thought we were going to be flying the way the winds were on Saturday but it turned out to be a beautiful day. This was my first marathon and my goal was to finish the race and I accomplished that!
My only thought that I think I could change but hard to do is not to depend on my Garmin. My watched reached 42.2km but I was still running the finished line was no where in site and I was ready for it to be over. Spectators along the last mile were saying “you only have a mile to go”, but they were saying that a mile back…that was the longest mile ever. (what we found out afterwards that there was a fire on the marathon route and they had to reroute which added a little mileage and delayed the start of the race) but I crossed the finish line with a high five to a “flying pig” and the emotions came with it…could not stop the tears.
It was a great journey and I thank Annie for being there with me.
Also thank you Dr. C for all the training and support this past winter….
